Ever since I joined WDA in 2014, I have had the privilege to be part of many historic moments in WDA’s worldwide campaigning.
My role in the organisation who liaises with prominent animal activists and groups around the world. One important part of my job is visiting various animal shelters and dog farms, as I feel it is vital to be aware of the harsh realities of such places.
One particularly outstanding visit was during the winter of 2015, when I went to Xi’an to visit Siuhua Wang’s shelter as the representative of WDA.
It was already dark when I reached the shelter. Surrounded by cracked drywalls, dozens of furry friends wagged their tails and looked at me with their anxious and sad eyes. It was at that moment that I connected with these poor animals, and was reminded of why I joined WDA.
It may not have been a particular momentous moment to anyone else, but for me it was the moment I realised the importance of WDA and Genlin’s philanthropy in improving the lives of dogs, both in Asia and abroad.
Therefore, I am proud to be a part of WDA and I will continue to fight the good fight for our beloved four-legged friends.
