1. WDA’s letter to the newly appointed Minister of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs Song Mi-ryung has been delivered
2. The Legislation and Judiciary Committee of the National Assembly will deliberate on the special bill on banning dog meat
3. A commentary by South Korea’s largest newspaper “Chosun Ilbo” states that while it is reasonable for the government to consider the livelihood of those connected with the dog meat industry and offer them some form of support, the high asking price demanded by the association of dog farmers is inappropriate and should not be met. The hope is that the two sides can compromise and find a common ground.
