Genlin pioneered the world’s first dog and cat party in Japan, dedicated to the interests and welfare of dogs and cats. The slogan of the official website is “New hope for dogs and cats”: hope that Japan will achieve zero stray dogs and cats, hope to improve the social status of dogs and cats, hope to develop a dog and cat economic circle, hope to create a harmonious society of human and pet symbiosis, and hope for dog and cat owners to enjoy exclusive welfare policies.

At present, Genlin has successfully promoted the establishment of the Animal Parliamentary Alliance with parliamentary parties. The heavyweight member of the ruling party Hidehisa Otsuji became the chairman of the alliance, and joined the members to submit a joint letter to Prime Minister Abe on June 23, 2020, requesting Japan’s accession to the International Agreement to Prohibit the Eating of Dogs and Cats.
