Since February 2016, World Dog Alliance had been organizing a petition on the U.K. Congress platform concerning the 2018 South Korea Winter Olympics issue and South Korea’s dog meat issue, the lobbying activities were launched on three mainstream social media platforms, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Over the past 5 months, World Dog Alliance advertised on the three platforms, a total of 4,500,000 people read our post, with 250,000 likes and shares.

Prior to the deadline, 8 August, over 100,000 signatures were acquired. The U.K. Congress has arranged a debate on 12 September on the issue. Amongst the 46 issues on the Congress platform, our petition was 1 of the 4 that obtained over 100,000 signatures. For the World Dog Alliance, this was excellent harvest. We look forward to the debate in the U.K. Congress in September.
